HT Premium Starch is an extremely modified potato starch designed to reduce drilling mud filtration, stable at high temperatures up to 150°C. The product is also very resistant to fermentation due to cross-linking. HT Premium Starch is an economical alternative to CMC and PAC. HT Premium Starch has been developed for use in filtration control applications where the use of germicides is prohibited and fermentation resistance and high temperature stability are required.
Most often, the amount of added product ranges from 10 to 30 kg per 1 m3 of drilling fluid.
