BDC-014 is a synthetic sulfonated polyacrylate, copolymer used as retarder for cement slurries that retards the thickening time of the slurries at temperatures ranging from 90 to 150°C. The upper temperature limit up to 205 °C, can be increased by the use of retarder enhancing agent. Product is compatible with all classes of API and POZMIX cement. BDC-014 as a retarder also acts as a mild dispersant and is effective in fresh and (saturated) salt water.
BDC-014 can be used in concentrations from 0.2% to 2.0% bwoc subject to application temperature and cement quality.
