BDC Holland was founded by engineer John Berkhuysen in 1976. Thanks to his education, skills and work in companies such as Shell or Akzo Nobel, he gained experience and know-how, which he used to establish BDC International. His hard work made it possible for the company to efficiently introduce its products and engineering services to the oil and gas drilling market.
BDC quickly became a market pioneer. The first quarter of the century was a dynamic development of the company: introducing modern solutions to the market and obtaining numerous patents for chemicals (used for exploration drilling and hydrocarbon extraction). The following years resulted in projects carried out all over the world: in Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Baltic States, Romania, Ukraine and Russia. During this time, BDC Holland became BDC International.
In 1991, a daughter company of BDC International was founded, i.e. BDC Poland. The enterprise thus became the first Polish company of this type. We can proudly say that it all started with us.The presence in Poland allowed BDC International to increase the amount of materials sold by actively selling its products in the territories of Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.
Just like the parent company, the Polish branch started its operations from servicing the oil and gas drilling market.At the turn of 2000, the company decided to expand its product range with drilling materials for other types of drilling, such as: horizontal drilling, drilling for water extraction and drilling for heat pumps. The company has proven successful in this field, especially on the Russian, Polish, Israeli and Belarusian markets.
Our chemical materials are present on global markets, and we achieve this goal both through the high quality of our products and through continuous technical support, which is an integral part of our work.Responding to the needs of the market, we constantly create new products and provide the necessary engineering knowledge, which allows us to save our clients time and money.
The year 2020 brought about changes in the company’s management. We acquired new markets and diversified sales by adding specialized polymers for civil engineering, PVC granulates and lubricating oils.We look into the future with a rich history behind us, and we constantly adjust our solutions to the needs of the market and our customers.

We have been working with the trenchless technologies industry from the very beginning if its existence. We have created and delivered a unique drilling system for any pipeline installation: from small to even the largest (involving drilling rigs with a pulling force exceeding 500 tons). We deliver products for Direct Pipe, Microtunneling and TBM technologies. Our transporting agents, lubricants and flocculants have been proven in the most demanding conditions.
Solutions with high insulating properties are indispensable in excavation, road works and hydrotechnical works. Sealtonite series Civil Engineering Products in a mixture with bentonite and sand acquire exceptional insulating properties, far superior to traditional mineral underlayments. The coherent gel structure prevents contaminants from entering the soil, air or water.
We provide agents for boosting the production and extraction of crude oil and natural gas, as well as cementing agents. We also offer pipeline cleaning agents, drilling fluids, oil additives and special materials. We will thoroughly examine your crude oil and other materials. We supply agents for geothermal energy and well drilling, including specialized biodegradable polymers, drilling bentonites and sealing agents in the form of bentonite rolls. We support our clients with technical knowledge and a range of chemicals ready for any geological conditions.
We offer chemicals used at all stages of crude oil processing. We provide, among others desalinators, demulsifiers, anti-sludge agents, corrosion inhibitors, neutralizers: pH buffers and hydrogen sulfide neutralizers. We also offer chemicals for applications such as water treatment, waste oil recycling, defoaming, descaling and paraffin control.
We have introduced innovative mud recycling systems. These devices help managing the waste produced during drilling and optimize the consumption of drilling materials. As a result, the purchase costs of drilling materials and the costs of utilization of drilling fluid drop significantly.
