HDD reamers (Horizontal Directional Drilling reamers) are tools mounted at the end of the drill rods after the pilot bore has been completed. Their main task is to ream the borehole, i.e. increase its diameter, to allow a pipeline or bundle of pipes to be pulled through.
Thanks to its flutes, the Fluted reamer facilitates spoil removal and drilling fluid flow management. It is designed to work in sands, sandy loams, sands with loam admixture and gravels.
The Cyclone reamer features a light, compact design that generates lower torque and facilitates breaking up clayey formations into fine-fraction cuttings. It was designed for use in plastic clays, loams and sands.
The Fly Cutter reamer features durable tungsten carbide teeth set in wings that form the main body of the reamer. It is intended for work in semi-compacted sandy soils and medium-hard clayey formations.
The Kodiak reamer is designed for extremely heavy ground conditions. Its spiral cutting surface facilitates breaking out cuttings and the flow of drilling fluid behind the reamer towards the pulled-in pipe. It is used for drilling through coarse gravel, rock debris and small granite boulders.
The light yet durable design of the Turbo reamer is excellent for enlarging boreholes made in sands, loams and clays.
