Modiretard 05 – Cement setting retarding additive

Modiretard 05 can be used in the production of:

• ready-mix, monolithic and sprayed concretes;
• injection mixes, cement-bentonite fillings, e.g. for TBM;
• cement mixes where a workability time of up to 72 hours is required;
• specialty mixes in combination with set accelerating admixtures.

The product is CE marked.

Usually Modiretard 05 is used at a concentration of 0,5% to 1,0% of cement weight. For a significant setting delay, a dose of 1,0-2,0% of cement weight is recommended. In specialty mixes a dose of 5-8 kg/m3 of mix is used.
The optimum amount of Modiretard 05 and its mixing time should be determined on the basis of technological trials.

• Appearance: light brown liquid;
• Density: ± 1130 kg/m3,
• pH: 6,0 – 8,0;
• Chloride content < 0,10%
• Alkali content < 5,0%; (Na2O equivalent)

Modiretard 05 is supplied in 1000 kg IBC containers or by tanker. Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Store the product in its original, factory-sealed packaging at a temperature of +5°C to +30°C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight. After prolonged storage, mix the product before use.
